SB 1345 (Coleman) Amends the Municipalities Planning Code (MPC) to grant local municipal governing bodies the authority to enact an 18 month moratorium by ordinance on the filing, consideration, or approval of new applications for high-impact data centers.

HB 2496 (Friel) Amends the Municipalities Planning Code (MPC) to authorize local municipal governing bodies to implement a temporary 180 day pause on data center development via a local resolution.

Amendment A04046 Amends HB 2496: Clarifies the pause can only apply to new data center land development applications. Also includes additional clarifying language on when a municipality can reenact a pause after it expires.
